At a New York conference, Acer unveiled a series of new series products, ConceptD. The company has unveiled an upgraded version of its virtual reality headset, OJO, and will launch the Acer Virtual Reality Headset, also called ConceptD OJO.
ConceptD is actually the name of the new Acer series of products that are exclusively designed to meet the needs of content providers. Up to now, there are 2 professional monitors, 2 powerful desktop PCs and specially designed video editing laptops with this name. The company now unveiled a new high-resolution OLED virtual reality headset, an open-ear, and a spacing between adjustable pupils, the name of the ConceptD series, alongside Acer’s logo.
With its two displays, it can display a resolution of 4320 x 2160 pixels. While the previous model, the OJO 500, was only able to display 1440 x 1440 pixel images, and Acer succeeded in making it 2.25 in its new virtual reality headset.because ConceptD OJO has two separate displays, the user can adjust the gap between the pupil or the IPD and create conditions where the lens is at the best distance with its eyes. Of course, this feature is not new because the OJO 500 also has such a feature.
On the other hand, Acer has considered the virtual reality of the open-ear sound system for this headset. The system that was already equipped with the latest Eyewear headset. How to operate the open-ear system in this way is the sound of the belts near the ear. This does not require headphones on a separate ear.
While the use of such a system provides less immersive experience for the user, some users prefer to use this system for virtual reality headsets. Alright, Acer still has a definite time and price for the global ConceptD OJO headset But Acer seems to be planning to sell the headset for $ 1,000. That’s while the previous model, OJO 500, was only $ 400.
